Enrollment
We invite you to learn more about our programs by speaking with our Enrollment Specialist, Lanaija Matos, who will help you schedule a tour of our center. We can’t wait for you to join our warm and bright community.
Tuition
The Child Development Center participates in the Office of Early Childhood’s (OEC) School Readiness and Child Day Care subsidy programs. Fees are based on family income and size using the CT Department of Social Services Sliding fee scale. Space is limited for subsidized slots. We also accept Care 4 Kids, a State of CT child care subsidy program. Please ask our Enrollment Specialist about the ways we help make child care affordable and accessible.

Transition Week
We believe in easing children into the new relationships and environment that comes with starting at a new early learning center. Our goal is for both children and families to feel comfortable getting started with us. That’s why every child starts with a transition week with limited hours for their first 5 days, slowly building up to a full day of care. Our one-time registration fee of $225 goes toward your child’s transition week.

Schedule
Our center is open 7:30am to 5:30pm year round. Drop off is no later than 9am to avoid disruptions to learning. Families are highly encouraged to maintain a childcare schedule of no more than 9 hours a day. Exceeding 9 hours makes for a very long day for children. We are closed on all state holidays and typically for the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. As a NAEYC-accredited early learning center, we also have about five professional development days per year where we close at 3pm, and three where we are closed for the day. Upon enrollment you’ll receive a Parent Manual detailing all of our policies and procedures as well as a full year calendar.

Hear From our Families
CCDC has fostered the learning, development, and community of hundreds of children and families over the past three decades. See what some of our families have to say about their experience.
July 2023
“Transitioning our daughter to Capitol Child Development was one of the best decisions we could have made as a family. From the beginning, we were welcomed into an organized environment where staff were knowledgeable, friendly and very caring to our daughter. The small classroom sizes, routine and presence of multiple experienced teachers have allowed our daughter to thrive in her development. We have built trust with the center based on their communication, partnership with the families and all-around positive atmosphere.”
“Of all the things I appreciate about CCDC, the thing at the top of the list is that I know my son is truly loved by all of his teachers there. It’s nerve-wracking to decide where to send your 5 month-old baby, but I know there were no more thoughtful or capable hands than the staff at CCDC. I truly believe they’ll be in our lives forever because of the bonds we created.”
